You may of noticed that I kind of disappeared for a while (my last post was 20th of June :0) so the excuses are – I had two holidays right after one another; an interesting and rare occurrence, I was ill for a bit; nothing major all good now, and have lately been lacking oomph/drive/whatever you wanna call it to get back into my blogging routine. Lazyness hopefully over, let’s get to it!
So to get the ball rolling (bar the two past posts) I thought I’d share a few pics some from instagram and facebook of what I’ve been up to lately.
The second holiday was the Lake District, unfortunately for the first few days me and my sis were under the weather and didn’t get to really get outside but when we felt better we had a wonderful time and saw some lovely views. We stayed in a little village called Ambleside which was near the lake below named Windermere. The pictures don’t do it justice!
We also went to the South Lakes Safari Park which had some interesting features. For one my brother’s got to feed giraffes which was pretty awesome, we were on a deck above them btw 😉 They’re so cute!
They also had a wood that you could walk through and running free were lots of Emu’s that were so tame you could stroke them, multiple breeds of adorable yet very noisy Lemurs and randomnly some Peacocks wondering about showing off and displaying to everyone. At the end of this wood there were even Kangaroo’s which I’ve never even seen in a zoo before! We had such a fab experience there and it was definitely better than our local zoo’s, much more interactive and exciting.
There was also a really cute little lady fox…the cuteness is unbearable!
We then went onto more stunning views at the Castlerigg Stone Circle again the photo’s don’t do it justice.
Bun twins below..
Of course we had to go on a boat ride whilst we were there, we went to this castle which wasn’t all that fab but the view (yeh you guessed it) totally made up for it. Just imagine seeing that outside your window when you wake up, ugh heaven!
On our last day we went for a drive to enjoy the views and see some lakes so below is so not your typical view when driving around, why can’t everywhere look like this?
Mr swan came and said hi then promptly left and also #feetselfie
So there is the general overview of our holiday in the Lake District, I hope you guys like this post 🙂
